Rooms were clean and staff was friendly. I didn't mind and fell asleep no problem but there was a wedding and because the place is on the smaller side you could hear the entire event, music, partying. There was a nice continental breakfast in the morning. Loved it.
My wife and I had a fantastic weekend stay here with our large (75lbs) dog and infant son. We were in a jacuzzi room, which gave us plenty of space for both a pack n play and a dog crate. The hotel is truly dog friendly with no extra fees or deposit. There are also plenty of dog friendly activities to do nearby and a cute neighborhood for walking. They warned us in advance that they would be hosting a wedding while we were there but we couldn't hear the music from our room.
I've been here twice and the food is delicious. The items are often creative and better quality than many places serving similar or the "same" dish. I plan on becoming a regular.
Good food, pleasant service and an interesting atmosphere. The walls, tables, etc all have names and initials carved into them. Sounds weird, but it is pretty cool! Would definitely eat at the tavern again.
One improvement they could make is in the included continental breakfast. It's really just cereal and pastries with a waffle maker. Something a little heartier would be welcome.
Great old hotel. Amazing staff and service. Beautiful woodworking and interior design keeping in line with the age and history. Resonably priced rooms and good food. Would recommend for a casual stay or for an event such as a wedding or conference. The longest I've stayed is 2 weeks and I had no complaints.
