The hidden gem of the park in my opinion is the trail system at the back of the park. There is shorter trail that overlooks Chittanango Creek, and there is a longer "meadow" trail that loops the eastern edge of the park. There is a moderate amount of climbing, and some sections of the trails tend to be wet and muddy, especially after a rain. The only negative is the trails aren't always well maintained. I've been here in the summer time and the trails get a little overgrown from lack of grooming. There are also several wooden bridges in disrepair but don't let those issues discourage you, this is an awesome hike.
Gorgeous there! Easy to find. Good parking. Was free to park when I went. Nice paths to walk. Kid friendly HOWEVER not able to use a stroller as there are many steps or some parts are steep.
This is a small but nice park. The main attraction, obviously, is the waterfall. During good weather, you can descend the staircase to the bottom of the falls if you so choose.
The falls were gorgeous and numerous trails with water along side and without. Had a great time with family on a beautiful fall day!
Fun and easy little hill, gorgeous falls, great in each season. That said, I do wish the restricted area was a little more restricted. It's pretty upsetting to see folks willfully disregarding the postings about protecting the snail and plant populations.
There are a couple of covered pavilions with picnic tables and outdoor grills. Outside of that, there is not much else to do in this small park.
A great park if you enjoy hiking down into a gorge for a spectacular view of a beautiful waterfall. You can also walk right up to the edge of the falls and see the water Cascade down. Clean, well kept, plenty of parking and several rest rooms.
